Sorenson stated that they comply with that completely. <br /> <br />Howard preferred a 12 month extension to 18 months. <br /> <br />Levihn wanted a shorter extension also, with renewable clause. <br /> <br />Lathrop felt it was a quality, deserving project. <br /> <br />Davidson agreed with Lathrop. <br /> <br />Keany suggested a 12 month extension with the option that staff can extend it an additional six <br />months, if necessary. <br /> <br />Mayer moved that Council extend the Garden Path's Temporary Use Permit for 12 months subject <br />to an additional extension of six months, which staff can grant, if a building permit to execute the <br />PUD had been applied for. Seconded by Howard. <br /> <br />Lathrop offered a friendly amendment of adding a date certain of June 1, 1996, and the applicants <br />having applied for their building permits. <br /> <br />Mayer and seconder, Howard, accepted that. All in favor. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION - FINAL PUD DEVELOPMENT PLAN - FANTASY ORCHIDS <br /> <br />Paul Wood, Planning Director, stated that the applicant had submitted initial documents to amend the <br />PUD at the Cherry Street Technical Park at 830 West Cherry Street to utilize a 1,500 s.f existing <br />ranch house east of the Bank of Louisville, and attach a 9,000 s.f. greenhouse system onto the south <br />of the house for retail and wholesaling orchids. <br /> <br />Davidson called for the applicant's presentation. <br /> <br />Stan Gordon, 630 West Juniper Court, Louisville, Colorado, stated that they want to blend the new <br />construction with the old, to appear as one. They have financing in place. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Council questions and comments. <br /> <br />Mayer commented that signage and lighting would be key issues. <br /> <br />Lathrop commented that even though he had owned this property at one time, he did not feel he <br />would have a conflict of interest. He wanted some type of screening on the east side, possibly some <br />type of solid fencing for the greenhouse portion. <br /> <br /> <br />
