Howard asked how hard it would be to get a new water attorney in a short time? Williams stated that since it is a special area those who practice in it have a good working knowledge of it. Another attorney could come in and be in a position of not much lost to represent the city. Sackett stated to the city attorney that Mr. Williamson has participated in the capital campaign of the hospital. Is that enough to create a conflict of interest for me or do you need to look into this a little further. Williams replied he would like to look at that and get more information about this issue. Sackett asked Hornbostel if we could wait enough time until this could be looked into before I participate further. Carnival stated he agreed with Williams on a new attorney coming in and representing the city, but to go out and acquire water rights takes time. Hornbostel felt that Mr. Williamson has had his chance. I don't feel that we can afford this anymore. I think there are water atto:rney's out there that we can bring in. Sackett felt he should have more time to see if he has a conflict of interest. Davidson stated he would like to have Ward III .fully represented and not just have one of the council members to vote. At this time Davidson moved to table this issue until the May 2nd meeting, that would give councilman Sackett time to get with the city attorney and decide if he has conflict of interest. Howard stated that if that was going to happen then I feel there should be a work session with Mr. Williamson and discuss these issues with him. Hornbostel stated that if we are going to have a work session with Mr. Williamson and if he does come in, I will go along with this to extend it until the May 1st deadline and only if that work session get done between 15
