see the council consider this as a standard
age limit for senior citizens. Maybe even
reconsidering the age at the golf course to
be 55.
Szymanski stated she felt that the senior
citizen age should be 55.
Sackett stated that he felt there should be a
set fee for everyone that comes in on a one
time pass and then if people want to buy
annual passes we give them a break.
Howard stated that the difference between
$1.50 and $3.00 for a senior makes a great
difference. I could not support that. I am
also concerned with charging the $3.0o for
children, will we lose them to Boulder by
doing this.
Szymanski stated the seniors have been around
along time and a lot of them are on social
security and they like to get out and do
things and I can't see charging them a lot to
get into the recreation center.
Mayor Fauson agreed with Szymanski on the age
limit being 55. I think we need to get the fees
down around what the other recreation centers
in the area are charging. The reason for the
recreation center is to give our youths
something to do during the summer. I feel
these prices are high for a typical family in
Louisville.
Hornbostel stated she felt the difference
would be made up in how often the people
would be returning. I would like to see us
stay close to what Boulder is doing. Is there
anyway that we can program the adult
activities with children programs.
Baysinger stated that is being looked into.
Carnival stated the rates that are being
proposed are very competitive for the market.
I do agree with Davidson in regard to the
7
