ORDINANCE NO. 1203, SERIES 1995 - RENAMING A PORTION OF THE STREET <br />KNOWN AS "CHERRY" STREET ON THE PLAT OF "THE IN KEEPER SUBDIVISION <br />PLAT" TO (EAST OF COUNTY ROAD) TO "LOCK STREET" - 2ND READING - PUBLIC <br />HEARING (PUBL. LSVL. TIMES 9/23/95) <br /> <br />Griffiths read by title only Ordinance No. 1203, Series 1995, "An ordinance renaming a portion of <br />the street known as "Cherry Street" as designated on the Plat of "The In Keeper Subdivision Plat" <br />to "Lock Street." <br /> <br />Davidson opened the public hearing calling for anyone wishing to speak on this ordinance. <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />Davidson closed the public hearing and called for Council comments or motions. <br /> <br />Howard moved that Council adopt Ordinance No. 1203, Series 1995, on second and final reading as <br />amended. Seconded by Keany. Roll call was taken. Motion passed by a 7 - 0 vote. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 55, SERIES 1995- FINAL PUD DEVELOPMENT PLAN - <br />KINDERCARE - LOT 7, CENTENNIAL VALLEY PARCEL G <br /> <br />Paul Wood, Planning Director, stated that this 1.5 acres is located at the nose of Centennial Valley <br />Business Park at Centennial Parkway and McCaslin. The request is for a 10,500 s.f. child care center <br />with an approximate 16,500 s.f. fenced outdoor play area. It is designed for 180 children and 20 staff <br />members. They propose 41 parking spaces and a maximum building height of 21'10". He explained <br />that there are two particular issues with Kindercare: 1.) Access - There are two access points <br />restricted to right-in/right-out; and 2.) A concem the applicant chose not to address, and the Planning <br />Commission had talked about, the northeast edge of the playground, the separation between the <br />fence, and the property line is approximately 25' at that point. The Commission forwarded a concern <br />that the final grade plan showed about a 9' slope going down from the property line to the play area. <br />They were concerned that any traffic that might miss the intersection might come onto the property <br />presenting a safety concern. The property owner had incorporated a series of six 10' to 12' high <br />evergreens at the nose of the play area. <br /> <br />Davidson called for the applicant's presentation. <br /> <br />Jim Kent, Division Construction Manager for Kindercare, stated that he had read the resolution and <br />was in agreement except for condition No. 2, Move northeast edge of playground 45' from property <br />line. <br /> <br />Howard suggested berming for protection from cars. He was very concerned about the traffic flow. <br /> <br />Kent stated that they could recommend to the parents to approach the site from the south. <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br /> <br />
