Davidson called for any other discussion on salary.

NONE

F.T.E.

Sisk wanted to exclude himself from one part of the discussion,
Business Facilitator, as he is a coordinator for business
development.

Business Facilitator -

Davidson wasn't sure a city the size of Louisville could afford a
full time business facilitator. He preferred that the position
remain half-time.

Lathrop stated that the position must substantiate itself. He
stated that there were a lot of resources in the city trying to do
the same job, so there is duplication. He didn't feel a full time
position was warranted at this time.

Mayor and Council were very pleased with the work being done by the
business facilitator, but didn't feel the work required full time
status.

Mayer suggested three-quarter time, having someone in the office
between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Hedding felt that three-quarter time for this position was
justified, at least for the coming year. He didn't feel that the
Micro-computer specialist in Human Resources was not justified. He
wanted to pull the money for three-quarter time from there.

Howard (INAUDIBLE) .

Hornbostel moved that Council increase the Business Facilitator
position to three-quarter time, or a one-quarter reduction from the
proposed full time. Seconded by Kevin Howard. All in favor except
Tom Davidson and Rob Lathrop.

Sharon Asti-Caranci, Finance Director, stated that that would be a
reduction of $10,160.

Municipal Court Clerical Assistance

Planning Technician

10
