This is for <br />the coordination of efforts by the paramedics and <br />the use of the helicopter for transporting victims <br />to the hospital. <br />Mayor Fauson stated while on the LFPD he recalls the <br />discussion of this fire substation and a lot work <br />has gone into it. Fie is very pleased with the <br />final plan. Mayor Fauson commended the Volunteer <br />Fire Department and the Fire District for their <br />efforts in developing this plan. <br />Szymanski asked if there will be direct benefit to <br />home owners for fire protection insurance with the <br />addition of this substation. <br />Chris Schmidt, Lieutenant of the LVFD, stated that <br />they have applied to the Insurance Services Office <br />for reevaluation of fire insurance rates in Louis- <br />ville. This is will have a very definite impact on <br />the rating. Louisville first requested this 18 <br />months ago, however, there was a two year backlog of <br />requests. <br />Anderson moved that Resolution #37 be adopted. <br />Mayor Fauson secondE~d. By Roll Call Vote, <br />Resolution #37 was adopted unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION #38 - COAL CREEK RANCH ANNEXATION <br />PETITION Rautenstraus read by title only Resolution #38, "A <br />Resolution of the City Council of the City of <br />Louisville finding substantial compliance of an <br />annexation petition filed by Raymond N. Joeckel, <br />First Interstate Bank, the Estate of Helen Campana <br />Brown and Coal Creek Associates and initiating <br />annexation proceedings for certain property and <br />establishing a time for a public hearing to <br />determine if the proposed annexation complies with <br />statutory requirements." <br />John Sackett and Steve Anderson asked that they be <br />excused from discussions and actions regarding this <br />annexation to avoid possible conflict of interests. <br />Wanush detailed the letter and petition from Coal <br />Creek Associates requesting the annexation of <br />approximately 227 acres of land. This land is <br />located along Coal Creek from Dillon Road to Dutch <br />Creek. They are requesting Planned Community Zoned <br />District (PCZD) zoning in order to create a general <br />development plan that would include 450 dwelling <br />units and 104.5 acres dedicated for a golf course. <br />11 <br />
