Sackett stated that Y~ie was at the Planning
Commission meeting where this issue was discussed
and it is his impression that Planning Commission
did not feel that this was an ideal solution and
they would have .felt more comfortable with the idea
of a more appropriate zoning designation for a
parcel such as this on an interchange entrance to
the City.
Mr. Drumm stated that highway oriented uses are
being considered at for construction at that site
including a service station. Mr. Drumm is concerned
that if Council is looking at this parcel to be
developed with more of an entryway concept that
should be treated somewhat differently than highway
oriented uses, he would want Council to be aware
that a service station is what is being proposed.
Mr. Drumm feels that it can be done in a tasteful
manner that would not detract from the entrance to
the City. Mr. Drumm. welcomes the opportunity to
have the uses discussed with Council so that both
parties will know exactly what uses would be
acceptable.
Hundley suggested that what is being discussed
tonight should not affect this Resolution nor defer
Council from setting the date for the public
hearings on the following annexation and zoning
ordinances.
Szymanski agreed and stated that it was his
intention to bring the issue of the zoning out at
this particular time so that further study could be
conducted.
Mayor Fauson stated that this is ubliclcommentsg on
Resolution #46 and asked for any p
either in favor of or in opposition to the
Resolution. None.
Mayor Fauson closed the public hearing and called
for a motion.
Anderson moved that Resolution #46 be adopted.
Carnival seconded. By Roll Call Vote, Resolution
#46 was adopted unanimously.
ORDINANCE #946 - DYER ROAD ANNEXATION - 1ST READING - ~~An
SET PUBLIC HEARING Rautenstraus read by title only Ordinance #946,
Ordinance annexing to the City of Lo roximatel 10
Colorado, a parcel of property of app Y
acres located west of McCaslin Boulevard which is
owned by 1007 Corporation. Permission is being
sought to place the Ordinance out for publication
and a public hearing set for January 19, 1988.
6
