Sis. k stated that the figures in Table B needed to be recalculated, <br />as they were calculated on $7,725. <br /> <br />Gr~ffiths stated that because of the delay and adoption on 2nd <br />reading under Table B, "effective January 1, 1994," if the Council <br />apE,roved it, because of the emergency clause, it would take effect <br />on February 15, 1994, which would need to be changed. Council <br />needed to authorize her to change each one of the numbers under <br />Res~idential to the appropriate percentage figure, prior to the <br />final publication of the Ordinance. <br /> <br />Howard modified his motion to be an effective date of February 15, <br />19~4. Seconder, Mayer, accepted that. Roll call was taken. <br />Motion passed by a 7 - 0 vote. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION - REGIONAL TRAILS PRESENTATION AND REQUEST FOR LETTERS <br />IN SUPPORT OF TRAILS AND TRAIL CONNECTION - RANDY B URKHARDT, PARKS <br /> <br />Randy Burkhardt, Parks Planner, explained that in December he <br />attended a meeting with the Boulder County Consortium of Cities and <br />the trails planners from throughout Boulder County. They discussed <br />a master trails plan for Boulder County. The State of Colorado had <br />increased the State Trails Fund this year from $200,000 to $1.2 <br />million, which is just for 1994. He reviewed maps and charts. He <br />stated that in applying for the grants, the City of Louisville <br />Parks Department would be applying for the Davidson Mesa Trail <br />Grant and the western portion of the Coal Creek Trail. Boulder <br />County will be applying for the grant on the eastern portion of the <br />trail. He asked Council to pledge their support for these <br />pr¢.j ects. <br /> <br />Mayer stated that each community would be providing letters of <br />support. Boulder County will be submitting one in support of <br />Louisville's trails effort and vise-versa. Ail of the Consortium <br />men.ers are going to be writing a letter from the Consortium to <br />suE,port all of the trail efforts in the County. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Council questions, comments, or motions. <br /> <br />Sisk moved that Council approve the two letters to be sent to the <br />State Trails Committee supporting trails within the City of <br />Louisville, as well as the other trail connections throughout <br />Boulder County and authorize Mayor Davidson to sign the letter of <br />suE.port. Seconded by Howard. <br /> <br />Lathrop stated that it is very important for businesses to support <br />the trails and communicate that to the various organizations that <br />make the grants.
