Wastewater Effluent Plant probably causing them <br />some water quality consideration and problems that <br />Louisville will not: have to deal with. <br />Mayor Meier moved that Park Construction Company <br />be awarded the Harper Lake Project bid of <br />$2,094,000. Morris seconded and the motion was <br />passed unanimously. <br />RECESS Mayor Meier called for a 10 minute recess at <br />8:32 p.m. <br />CONSTRUCTION OF <br />~~ <br />CITY SHOPS Hioco addressed Council showing a site plan for <br />the City Shops area including potential building <br />sites of a new facility and a building design for <br />the proposed maintenance facility. Staff <br />recommended that Council discuss this item have <br />Planning Commission review the site and building <br />plans at their March 12 meeting, and then have the <br />commission send their recommendations back to <br />Council for the :March 21 Council Meeting for <br />further discussion and recommendations. <br />The current park's facility must be vacated thi..s <br />. month as it is on Homart property and Homart i.s <br />now developing this area. They are moving to the <br />City's shop location on Empire Road. <br />Rob Cassady of Hillhouse Associates was available <br />to` comment as he helped Hioco put the plans <br />together. Hillhouse Associates was put under <br />contract early in :1984 by Mr. Karl Kasch, the <br />Public Works Director at that time. <br />Asti-Caranci related that the City had received a <br />quote from Jinco Leasing for Phase I in the amount <br />of $250,000 on a `i-year lease at 9.51 interest <br />rate with a monthly payment of $5,252.03 for 60 <br />months, for a total of $315,121.80 or $63,000 <br />annually. The entire project, $400,000, on a 5- <br />year lease at 9.~4~ interest rate would have a <br />monthly payment ofd $8,362.46 for a total of <br />$501,747.60 or $100,350 annually. <br />The water and sewer fund are to pay a portion of <br />the cost of this project (budgeted in 1985) with <br />$31,000 coming from. each of the two funds as tk~e <br />water and sewer departments will utilize a portion <br />of the shops. There is also money in the CIP fund <br />for this project. <br />6 <br />
