Davidson: Sisk: Mayer: would give the Chamber funding and leave us in the position where we're not paying out monies before we receive those monies. The City, traditionally, has given the $25,000.00 in quarterly payments, not all at once. The Chamber was led to believe that they could get a significant amount of money immediately because they've gone without an operating budget. I would like to see the development of trust and a business relationship between this City Council and the Chamber. The projections given to us last night at the meeting was that there was a need for immediate monies as soon as possible. If we commit the $25,000.00 out of City funds, I would like a proviso that once the County funds have been received, that the account can be replenished out of the County funds. I would prefer to see the County funds committed first, since they are the most specifically tied into what we're doing. If for some reason the City did not receive the County funds, but the Chamber of Commerce did, that there would be some language that if the City has advanced money, with the intention of being reimbursed for those County funds, that we work out an arrangement that the Chamber will complete the circle back to the City with the County funds for these events. Hornbostel: Maybe, if we commit the $25,000.00 and the remainder of that, upon the actual reports, when we receive our actual figures. The important thing in this is receiving the final report and the actual figures. If we tied that $11,001.00 to receiving the final reports, which would be within 90 days of the events, that would solve some of the problems for 5
