Howard:

At the Work Session, I had requested
information on existing front range
clubhouses and their profitability
and I don't see that in this
information.

Baysinger:

In the letter it addresses that
there was an attempt made to do
that, even through firm of THK
Associates (who specialize in
feasibility studies). We were not
able to find any information that
was trackable on any expansions and
what revenue had been proportionally
generated.

Howard:

My question is about profitability.
Council was told some pretty amazing
numbers about how much the City can
hope to receive from this expansion.
Given the large sums that were
talked about, I don't see anything
on the front range that justifies
these numbers.

John Ott, Recreation Services, Golf Professional/Manager, Coal
Creek Golf Course.

Ott:

We contacted all the surrounding
golf courses, many of them have a
private concessionaire. One
concessionaire that we contacted was
unwilling to provide us with any
revenue or profitability numbers.
We contacted the City of Denver and
the City of Aurora's Golf
Department's representative at each
location and neither one of those
gentlemen could tell us the
profitability or gross revenues that
they're experiencing at their
facilities. No one is willing to
share their private income with us,
when they own the concessionaire at
their location. We can obtain the
gross revenue figures from the
Clubhouse operations concerning food
and beverage. It doesn't give us a
net income number. We have shared
with Council (in Council's packet),
to help you make your decision:
one, the two year running history at

15
