like the School District issues,
open space, parks and recreation
issues, financial and fiscal issues,
the physical maintenance issues,
etc. Rather than handout another
zoning regulation allowing more
tract homes to come, it's time for
the community to get together and
say where do we want to be as a
community in five years, ten years,
fifteen years. I am not here to say
that Council is doing something bad,
but as a community we need to give
you better direction as to what we
want.

Deborah Whitehead, 369 South Taft Court, Louisville, CO.

Whitehead:

I would like to see the
Comprehensive Plan happen before new
permanent decisions are made about
our community. I am going to start
participating in developing the
Comprehensive Plan, as it's
appropriate. I hope it includes
open space. I want it to include
landscaping around businesses. I'm
concerned that the entrance to our
community is not going to say
openness and quality. It's going to
say another suburb. It's going to
look like Los Angeles. On the
schools, it's not necessarily the
job of the City Council to handle
the school issues. However, I would
like to see Council consider that we
stop talking about desk space and
portables and we start talking about
teacher/student ratios.

Peter Stewart, 1132 Jefferson Avenue, Louisville, CO.

Stewart:

I not so sure it's the Council's
responsibility to tell the
developers exactly what to do. It's
good for a City to know what we're
looking for, some kind of vision. I
think the developer should become
more aware of what the citizens
concerns are, such as what benefit
is development and what benefit will
it give the citizens. It's time for

13
