Louisville City Council Meeting <br />March 16, 2004 <br />Page 4 of 10 <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk called for a motion on the appointments to the Horticulture & Forestry <br />Advisory Board. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Van Pelt moved that Council appoint Theresa Rounds, <br />Matthew Tepe, and Ellen Toon to the Horticulture & Forestry Advisory Board and Fred <br />Banta as the Associate Member. Council member Brown seconded the motion. All in <br />favor. Absent: Council member Levihn. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS TO THE URBAN RENEWAL AUTHORITY <br /> <br />The Urban Renewal Authority shall consist of five members, four Louisville residents <br />plus a representative of City Council. The terms will be staggered so that the term of at <br />least one commissioner will expire each year. Mayor Sisk called for a motion on the <br />appointments to the Urban Renewal Authority. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Brown moved that Council appoint Claire Beckman to a 5- <br />year term, Charles Sisk to a 4-year term, Rob Lathrop to a 3-year tem, Robert Tofte to a <br />2-year term, and Michael Reis to a 1-year term to the Urban Renewal Authority. Council <br />member Van Pelt seconded the motion. All in favor. Absent: Council member Levihn. <br /> <br />VACATE PUBLIC HEARING ON ORDINANCE NO. 1434, SERIES 2003 - AN <br />ORDINANCE APPROVING AN ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF <br />LOUISVILLE KNOWN AS THE STORAGETEK ANNEXATION <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk called for Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Principal Planner Ken Johnstone reviewed the StorageTek Annexation Ordinance No. <br />1434, Series 2003, was disapproved on December 16, 2003. Council directed Staff that a <br />public hearing to consider a recommendation from the Planning Commission on the <br />StorageTek rezoning request for 310 acres from City of Louisville Industrial to PCZD be <br />continued to March 16, 2004. The continuance was directed in recognition that the <br />rezoning was still pending before the Planning Commission. Since that time, StorageTek <br />has withdrawn their application from further consideration. Staff is recommending the <br />public heating on the rezoning request be vacated. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Brown moved that Council vacate the public hearing for <br />the StorageTek Annexation, seconded by Council member Clabots. All in favor.
