3/f~/84 Page -6- <br />Way, Teton Foundation of Denver, and other <br />foundations interested in youth projects. <br />ThE~ wages ranged from $1.50 for baby sitting <br />to $5.50 an hour for heavy labor. <br />Requests for Funding during City Councilman Luce asked if Ms. Fehsenfeld <br />1985 Budget Cycle would return during the City's budget cycle <br />for 1985? She replied - possibly; however <br />mo:~t of the foundations that she would be <br />seE~king funding from want to know which <br />communities have given funding before they <br />ma}~e a commitment. <br />Mayor Meier advised Ms. Fehsenfeld that the <br />Cii~y runs on a budget cycle and usually re- <br />quests such as hers are made a year prior <br />to when the money is needed, as most of <br />money for these requests have been committed <br />for 1984. These requests are made in Sept. <br />of the previous year. <br />Ms.. Fehsenfeld stated that she would return <br />in August but had been told that right now <br />there were some discretionary human resources <br />or social services funding that might be <br />available to cover their budget <br />from August through December of this year. <br />At the request of Mayor Meier, Director <br />Asti-Caranci advised that of the contingency <br />funds set aside for this type funding they had <br />been committed as follows: <br />>1,500 - Clinica Campesina <br />$2,000 - Boulder County Mental Health <br />:$2,100 - Flight for Life <br />Councilwoman Morris Commented it was her understanding that <br />there was $1500 remaining in the fund. <br />Suggested council discuss the possibility <br />of sharing into the Flight for Life donation <br />fo:r the Teen Job Bank. <br />Councilman Leary Inquired if Ms.Fehsenfeld had received any <br />money from the Chambers of Commerce, and <br />if they should receive more money than needed <br />for the reaminder of 1984 would that be carried <br />into their next year's budget. <br />She replied that she had only written the <br />Louisville Chamber and had not as yet received <br />a reply. Also if they received more money <br />than requested they would either add it to <br />their 1985 budget or expand the program. <br />
