MOTION TO APPROVE APPOINTMENT Councilman Cussen moved, Councilwoman John- son seconded that Corin Wood be appointed as Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. MOTION TO TABLE APPOINTMENT Councilwoman Morris moved, Councilman Leary seconded that this appointment be tabled unitil March 20th council meeting. Question ca:Lled for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously 7-0. Ms. Wood to be contacted and asked to be present at the next council meeting to an- swc:r any questions councilmembers may have. BOULDER COUNTY - DRAFT AGREE- councilmembers had a copy of a letter from MENT -OPEN SPACE Boulder County Commissioner Heath; a draft of the agreement and a memo from Administra- tor Wurl expressing 3 concerns relating to the agreement; also recommended these con- cerns be included in our response to the County. Mr. Wurl explained his reasons for these concerns. Councilman Leary Commented he felt one of the reasons for this to come differently than was discussed, wars that it was based on Open Space Committee recommendation rather than coming from the discussions. Felt that councilmembers should review it regarding the money involved and thE~ equity issues. But it appeared to him a better arrangment as being proposed is in order therefore would support having more di;acussion on the agreement. One argument is that Coal Creek was purchased with all County money;. although supposedly that wasn't done as a buffer. Unfortunately however fe:Lt that someday that's what it is going to be. Felt that council should direct the City Administrator to pursue that matter. Otherwise felt that the agreement was a major step for the cities. Councilwoman Morris commented she would like to pursue what was verbally discussed at the meetings with Boulder County also; but did not want to see the negotsiations break down with the agreement.
