Louisville City Council Meeting <br />July 20, 2004 <br />Page 3 of 7 <br /> <br />Council member Keany recommended all City crews, use mosquito repellant. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1452, SERIES 2004 - AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING AN <br />ENCLAVE PROPERTY, KNOWN AS THE HOYLE ANNEXATION, TO THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE - 2ua reading - public hearing (advertised Daily Camera <br />6/19, 6/26, 7/3, 7/10) <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Kathleen Harrington read Ordinance No. 1452, Series 2004. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Planning Director Paul Wood explained that Ordinance No. 1452, Series 2004 will annex <br />to the City of Louisville the Hoyle parcel on the basis of its enclave designation. The <br />subject property is a 33.78-acre parcel on the north side of Dillon Road, midway between <br />Pierce Avenue and S. 104th Street. Virginia Hoyle and the Hoyle Family Trust own the <br />property. The property to the east is owned by Joel Self and is unincorporated. The <br />ordnance finds the subject annexation parcel has previously complied with all <br />requirements prerequisite to its annexation as an enclave under the state statutes. <br />He noted the ordinance does not address zoning of the property, which shall be initiated <br />following its annexation in accordance with the requirements of state statutes. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk opened the public hearing and asked if anyone in the audience wished to <br />speak for or against Ordinance No. 1452, Series 2003. There were no comments. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENT <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk asked if the property survey included Dillon Road. Wood stated it did not. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk asked when the zoning would come before Council. Wood reported the <br />zoning would come before Council in September. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested public comment, and hearing none, closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Van Pelt moved for approval of Ordinance No. 1452, <br />Series 2004, seconded by Council member Keany. Roll call vote was taken.
