Business Retention and Development Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />August 23, 2018 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />IX. POTENTIAL DISCUSSION ITEMS FOR FUTURE MEETINGS. The Committee <br />identified the following topics for potential discussion at future meeting, including <br />as early as the next meeting to be held on October 1, 2018: <br />• Louisville Business Promotion / Support from the City — Discuss alternatives <br />/ funding for City support of more effective promotion / marketing of <br />Louisville businesses. <br />• Street Faire Assessment — Chair Oberholzer suggested that the Committee <br />assess the results / business benefits of the Street Faire. City Manager <br />Balser noted that the City Council is scheduled to review the Street Faire at <br />its September 25th meeting. Chair Oberholzer noted to the Committee that <br />his business actually suffers a decline in traffic / revenue during each Street <br />Faire. <br />• Next Business Forum — Discuss a topic / structure / date for the next <br />Louisville Business Forum. <br />• Louisville Building / Development Permit Process — update (delay to after <br />the hail damage repair activity subsides) <br />• How can BRaD better relay its activities / recommendations to Council. <br />X. ADJOURN — The meeting adjourned at 9:30 am <br />
