SCOTT: I work for Oedipus, Inc., at 700 E. Spear, Denver, Colorado.

APPLICANT
ATTORNEY:

How long have you been with Oedipus what is the function of Oedipus?

SCOTT:

A long time, twenty-seven years in January. We do opinion poll surveys,
substantial number of literature on liquor licenses and 3.2% beer applications.

APPLICANT
ATTORNEY:

Your company was hired in connection with this particular case?

SCOTT:

Yes.

Applicant's attorney reviewed with Scott the results of the petition and the manner in which the
petition was circulated and how his organization was compensated for their work. A contract
letter is sent which guarantees a specified number of doors and completions, survey results are not
guaranteed. A discount is given if paid up front or a substantial retainer since sometimes the
survey does not come out well for the applicant. Ruby Tuesday has a policy of prepaying. The
results of the survey do not have anything to do with Oedipus's compensation.

Since the petition is to obtain the opinion of the neighborhood (City of Louisville) in terms of
needs and desires, Oedipus takes any response. It is not necessary that someone sign the petition.
They can verbalize anything they would like to and it will be recorded by gender and address.
Since this neighborhood is larger then what Oedipus would normally do on a survey, Oedipus
knocked on a substantially larger number of doors.

Results of survey:

1,220 total door knocks
327 responses

signatures supporting issuance:
271 signatures
2 verbalizations

signatures opposing issuance: (not all people oppose for needs and desire reasons)
1 abhorrence of alcohol
1 religious objection
10 commercial usage objections

APPLICANT
ATTORNEY:

This is 87% in favor. This survey result is 6-10% higher than normal, it is
a very good survey result.

The witness was excused.
