A petition of signatures, which denote the needs of the neighborhood, was marked presented by the applicant and as Exhibit #A, and added to the record. Chairperson Jeffers asked if there was any interested party in the audience who wished to speak in favor of the application. - No comments were made. Chairperson Jeffers noted that the FBI fingerprinting card for the manager Jamal H. Qureshi, was not traceable due to an insufficient pattern of the fingerprint. The Secretary reported that the finge~'print card for CBI would be sent to FBI for clearance. Chairperson Jeffers closed the public hearing and called for member discussion and comments. Lipton stated that she would like to see all employees receive liquor training as soon as possible. He explained that tonight the Authority would set the boundaries for what is considered the neighborhood, and set a hearing date to consider the full application. Attorney Light stated that in the future, applications for new licenses not be submitted in the Authority packet at the time of the setting of the neighborhood boundaries and hearing date. This will help prevent any argument that members have pre-judged of the application prior to its finalization and the hearing.
