Tengler moved and Loo seconded a motion to approve Resolution No. 6, Series 2008, a request for a Special Review Use (SRU) to allow for the operation of a Montessori school on a property located at 1501 Jefferson Avenue and zoned Residential Low Density (RL) the five (5) conditions identified by staff. Lipton discussed wording changes to the five conditions as follows: 1) Remove the words "Staff requires a". The condition would start with the word Trash. 2) Remove the words "Staff recommends there be". The condition would start with the word Additional. 3) Remove the words "Staff recommends". The condition would start with the word The. Also, delete the second sentence. 4) Remove the words "Staff recommends". The condition would start with the word The. Also, change the word should to must. 5) No changes. Lipton requested an amendment to the motion and second. Amendment was accepted by Russell and Loo. Lipton then read the conditions as follows: 1) Trash/recycling area be constructed on the site that will adequately serve this use 2) Additional staff parking placed on the existing concrete drive that is located near the existing detached garage. 3) The applicant should place the 6 foot solid fence along the northern property line to prohibit children from accessing the ditch. 4) The area must be signed for "pick up and drop off only" to allow for the western side of Jefferson Avenue to remain free and clear for queuing.
