<br />STUDY SESSION SET <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #808 - TABLED <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #809 - REDUCING <br />COMMERCIAL AMUSEMENT FEES <br /> <br />Carol Kelly, Owner of the <br />Pinball Wizard at Village <br />Square Shopping Center <br /> <br />PUBLICATION AUTHORIZED <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #35 - CITY CLERK <br />AUTHORITY TO APPOINT ELECTION <br />JUDGES <br /> <br />ADOPTION <br /> <br />10/4/83 <br /> <br />Page -10- <br /> <br />Mayor Meier set the date for the study session <br />on Ordinance #808 - Louisville Associates <br />Rezoning for October 13, 1983 at 7:30 P.M. <br />in Council Chambers. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary moved, Mayor Meier seconded <br />that Ordinance #808 - Louisville Associates <br />Rezoning - First Reading be tabled until <br />October 18, 1983. Question called for. All <br />in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of the ordinance; <br />Attorney Rautenstraus read it by title only <br />on first reading and the request was for <br />publication. Attorney Rautenstraus advised <br />this item was brought up by Councilman Cussen <br />at the last meeting and the suggestion was <br />made that the license fees be lowered from <br />$75.00 per machine to $50.00 per machine. <br /> <br />Stated that she appreciated council's con- <br />sideration of lowering the fees in response <br />to her letter; also appreciated Councilman <br />Cussen's coming to the Arcade and informing <br />her employees that this item was on the agenda <br />this evening. Mrs. Kelly stated that the City <br />of Greeley only levies a charge of $5.00 per <br />machine per year, i.e. as a registration fee. <br />Stated that she had provided a copy of her <br />profit and loss statement for July and pre- <br />sented the City Clerk with a copy of her <br />profit and loss satement for August. <br />Stated that in Laundromats there are also <br />coin-operated machines that are not taxed? <br />When this tax is due January 1, 1984 @ $75.00 <br />per machine she was doubtful if she could <br />continue business. <br /> <br />Councilman Cussen moved, Councilman Ferrera <br />seconded that Ordinance #809 - Reducing <br />Commercial Amusement Fees be published. <br />Question called for. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of the resolution <br />and Attorney Rautenstraus read it in its en- <br />tirety. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Ferrera <br />seconded that Resolution #35 - City Clerk <br />Authority to Appoint Election Judges be <br />adopted. Question called for. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />
