STUDY SESSION SET ORDINANCE #808 - TABLED ORDINANCE #809 - REDUCING COMMERCIAL AMUSEMENT FEES Carol Kelly, Owner of the Pinball Wizard at Village Square Shopping Center PUBLICATION AUTHORIZED RESOLUTION #35 - CITY CLERK AUTHORITY TO APPOINT ELECTION JUDGES ADOPTION 10/4/83 Page -10- Mayor Meier set the date for the study session on Ordinance #808 - Louisville Associates Rezoning for October 13, 1983 at 7:30 P.M. in Council Chambers. Councilman Leary moved, Mayor Meier seconded that Ordinance #808 - Louisville Associates Rezoning - First Reading be tabled until October 18, 1983. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Councilmembers had a copy of the ordinance; Attorney Rautenstraus read it by title only on first reading and the request was for publication. Attorney Rautenstraus advised this item was brought up by Councilman Cussen at the last meeting and the suggestion was made that the license fees be lowered from $75.00 per machine to $50.00 per machine. Stated that she appreciated council's con- sideration of lowering the fees in response to her letter; also appreciated Councilman Cussen's coming to the Arcade and informing her employees that this item was on the agenda this evening. Mrs. Kelly stated that the City of Greeley only levies a charge of $5.00 per machine per year, i.e. as a registration fee. Stated that she had provided a copy of her profit and loss statement for July and pre- sented the City Clerk with a copy of her profit and loss satement for August. Stated that in Laundromats there are also coin-operated machines that are not taxed? When this tax is due January 1, 1984 @ $75.00 per machine she was doubtful if she could continue business. Councilman Cussen moved, Councilman Ferrera seconded that Ordinance #809 - Reducing Commercial Amusement Fees be published. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Councilmembers had a copy of the resolution and Attorney Rautenstraus read it in its en- tirety. Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Ferrera seconded that Resolution #35 - City Clerk Authority to Appoint Election Judges be adopted. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously.
