<br />RESOLUTION #36 - JOE C. <br />CARNIVAL SCHOOL <br /> <br />ADOPTION <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #37 - ADOPT ICMA <br />PENSION PLAN AMENDMENT <br /> <br />ADOPTION <br /> <br />Councilman Leary <br /> <br />VOTE ON THE MOTION <br /> <br />RECESS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #38 - ADOPTING THE <br />BUDGET - APPROPRIATING SUMS <br />OF MONEY 1984 BUDGET <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />10/4/83 <br /> <br />Page -11- <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of the resolution <br />and Attorney Rautenstraus read it in its <br />entirety. <br /> <br />Councilman Ferrera moved, Councilman Cussen <br />seconded that Resolution #36 - Joe C. Carnival <br />School be adopted. Question called for. <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of the resolution <br />with the amendments and Attorney Rautenstraus <br />read it in its entirety. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Cussen <br />seconded that Resolution #47 - ICMA Pension <br />Plan Amendment be adopted. <br /> <br />Commented as to the Finance Director casting <br />any votes - he would assume that in the long <br />run there never would be anything that might <br />be controversial. Is it possible that there <br />may be an issue that i.e. the employees of <br />the City review could take different positions <br />on it? <br />Director Asti-Caranci replied in regard to <br />casting votes, it would be for a Board that <br />would oversee what ICMA does, i.e. in <br />vesting funds - was not a vote on various <br />issues. <br /> <br />Question called for. All ln favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Meier called a recess at 8:53 P.m. <br />Meeting reconvened at 9:05 P.M. <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of the resolution <br />and Attorney Rautenstraus read it in its <br />entirety. <br /> <br />Mayor Meier opened the public hearing on <br />Resolution #38 and Attorney Rautenstraus <br />certified proper publication. <br /> <br />Administrator Wurl stated that in addition <br />to the budget submitted to councilmembers, <br />under separate cover had provided a summary <br />of the funds - revenues and expenditures, <br />as well as a memo outlining the requested <br />budget additions and reductions. Also stated <br />at the last study session council's instructions <br />were to find sufficient sources of revenue <br />
