RESOLUTION #36 - JOE C. CARNIVAL SCHOOL ADOPTION RESOLUTION #37 - ADOPT ICMA PENSION PLAN AMENDMENT ADOPTION Councilman Leary VOTE ON THE MOTION RECESS RESOLUTION #38 - ADOPTING THE BUDGET - APPROPRIATING SUMS OF MONEY 1984 BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING 10/4/83 Page -11- Councilmembers had a copy of the resolution and Attorney Rautenstraus read it in its entirety. Councilman Ferrera moved, Councilman Cussen seconded that Resolution #36 - Joe C. Carnival School be adopted. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Councilmembers had a copy of the resolution with the amendments and Attorney Rautenstraus read it in its entirety. Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Cussen seconded that Resolution #47 - ICMA Pension Plan Amendment be adopted. Commented as to the Finance Director casting any votes - he would assume that in the long run there never would be anything that might be controversial. Is it possible that there may be an issue that i.e. the employees of the City review could take different positions on it? Director Asti-Caranci replied in regard to casting votes, it would be for a Board that would oversee what ICMA does, i.e. in vesting funds - was not a vote on various issues. Question called for. All ln favor. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor Meier called a recess at 8:53 P.m. Meeting reconvened at 9:05 P.M. Councilmembers had a copy of the resolution and Attorney Rautenstraus read it in its entirety. Mayor Meier opened the public hearing on Resolution #38 and Attorney Rautenstraus certified proper publication. Administrator Wurl stated that in addition to the budget submitted to councilmembers, under separate cover had provided a summary of the funds - revenues and expenditures, as well as a memo outlining the requested budget additions and reductions. Also stated at the last study session council's instructions were to find sufficient sources of revenue
