9/20/83 Page -12- ~ouncilwoman Morris Commented she was willing to take a look at it - was not certain that she would vote for a change. Mayor Meier Commented he would be willing to look at a change, but wished facts and figures from Director Leesman relative to how much time our officers spend at the different establishments with video machines and re- lated costs that the City does incur because of nuiance problems, etc. Councilmen Cummings, Ferrera and Fauson also felt that it should be placed on the agenda and take a look at it. Councilwoman Morris Wished to thank Director Kasch and Street Superintendent Lawrence Rickman for their quick response and action on the Pine St. Lincoln situation, in putting up the 4-way stop. Received many positive compliments about it. Also stated that she had been talking with Charla Nicholas from the PTG at the Elementary School and they are re- questing that if anyone knows of any indivi- duals or any community organizations who would be willing to offer volunteers as crossing guards, there are two particular intersections that are being looked at Lincoln and Pine, and Hutchinton and Lincoln. If anyone knows of such volunteers requested that either she or Ms. Nicholas be advised. Volunteer Crossing Guards Bill Suitts Improvements Requested an up-date on the Bill Suitts improvement situation and whether or not that was ever completed. Attorney Rautenstraus advised that they haven't called any money yet, but felt there has been subtantial progress being made on the improve- ments. Also advised that the list would be reviewed to see what hasn't been done. Administrator Wurl advised that a check list would be given to councilmembersj felt that the only thing lacking on it was a short piece of fence, the tennis court, and some trickle channels. Councilwoman Morris requested a time frame from Mr. Suitts on the tennis court. Wurl to provide this.
