Question called for. All in favor.
Motion carried.

Councilmembers had a copy of a letter from
Pasquale (Jack) Varra requesting two out-
side the city water taps for their property
on South 96th Street.
Administrator Wurl stated Council had pre-
viously approved two other water taps on
the system. The City did have a letter on
file from STC authorizing the hook-up in
terms of their recovery requirements.

Commented he recalled previously there seemed
to be an informal agreement that no outside
water taps would be granted unless the City
would receive the recovery return to the sewer
plant - was this still the case?
Administrator Wurl advised this requirement
was discussed with the John Morrison proposed
annexation, which was in this same area; but
for individual taps and in this case, it is
impossible for the Varra's to hook on to the
sewer because it is a pressure line from STC
and is too far north of where their property
is located. The requested taps would be 3/4".
Wurl also advised that the tap fee would be
double that of in-city.

Inquired if the taps are for two existing homes.
Wurl replied onE~ is and another would be con-
structed; the property is in our planning area
and the present zoning is agricultural. He
further advised this is residential property
and within the County zoning requirements of
one residence to 5 acres of land.

Inquired what the status of the property was
in terms of obtaining County building permits?
Administrator Wurl advised he was unaware if
the property was subdivided he would assume
that one of the requirements to obtain permits
to build the homes that they had to go through
that process with the County.
