Question called for. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Bob Ross, rep~esenting the American Legion, <br />requested permission of Council to use Hiner's <br />Field for their annual fireworks display on <br />July 4th commencing 9:10 P.M. The theme of <br />display will be "Salute to America." A pre- <br />show is being planned consisting of a canine <br />show by the Denver Police Dept. and a drum <br />and bugle corps band. The U.S. Dept. of <br />Tabacco and Firearms has approved the new <br />mortars that will be fired by the Louisville <br />Fire District. The mortars consist of heavy <br />cardboard. They also have the insurance policy <br />to cover any liabilities. He further explained <br />the carboard mortars produce a better velocity. <br /> <br />Permission granted by council to the American <br />Legion for July 4th fireworks display at <br />Miners Field. <br /> <br />Councilmembers had copies of the proposed <br />transfer and all necessary information. <br />Attorney Rautenstraus advised that the appli- <br />cation was in order and was a request for transfer <br />of-Owne~Hlip-. -theref.Qre :the_only:ma.tter--th~ council <br />would be required to review would be the fit- <br />ness of the applicants. <br /> <br />One of the owners representing the White Front, <br />formerly Waldo's, stated they intended to <br />clean up the inside and outside of the present <br />establishment and try to get rid of some of <br />that undesirable clientele. Felt this was a <br />good reason for approval of their application. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Ferrera <br />seconded that the White Front Liquor License <br />Transfer of ownership be granted. Question <br />called for. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />
