Councilwoman Morris opposing. <br />Motion carried 6-1. <br /> <br />Commented, even though she voted against <br />the motion, appreciated the discussion by <br />council and significant direction be- <br />fore any further work is done on the project. <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of a memo from <br />City Engineer Blanchard relative to this <br />item. Administrator Wurl was requesting <br />authorization for the City to remain in <br />the district and the Boulder County Com- <br />missioners be advised. <br />City Engineer Blanchard advised staff wished <br />to change the funding from 50/50 to 75/25 <br />program. He advised that on the 50/50 basis <br />the City would receive $309,000.00 for 1985 <br />on a dollar for dollar basis; on the 75/25 <br />basis the funding would be reduced to <br />$180,000.00 for 1985. <br /> <br />Discussion by council regarding the advan- <br />tages of the 50/50 - 75/25 funding for the <br />projects proposed for the City; whether <br />matching funds would be available to parti- <br />cipate in the 5 year plan. if so where <br />would the revenue be derived. Suggestions <br />were parks and recreation expansion fees, <br />set up a drainage fee, or the general fund. <br />Another issue discussed with the plan was <br />how the other cities within Boulder County <br />would impact the choice requested by our <br />City. Lafayette, Broomfield and Louisville <br />were the three cities requesting funding <br />from the plan. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary moved, Councilman Fauson <br />seconded that the City of Louisville remain <br />in the Boulder County/ Urban Drainage and <br />Flood Control District. Question called for. <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
