JICINSKY CONSTRUCTION - PAY ESTIMATE #3 - COMMUNITY BUILDING APPROVAL ASSOCIATED LAND CONSULTANTS STEINBACH ANNEXATION Councilman Leary Premature Mayor Meier Councilman Leary 3/1/83 Page -7- Director Hioco advised that a phyical in- spection was made and the work had been completed. Reported that new mortar is being placed between all the brick, and the windows on the south and west sides have been redone. The front and north side of the building will be repaired next week; completion within 4-5 weeks. Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Ferrera seconded that Pay estimate #3 to the Jicinsky Construction Co. be paid in the amount of $5,400.00. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Councilmembers had a copy of the letter requesting annexation. Recommendation by staff that the matter be referred to the Planning Commission for review and recom- mendation. Inquired how this would relate to the res- ervoir project that council is considering. Administrator ~~rl advised the City would be in competition with whomever Mr. Drumm was representing. He stated there nay be a possibility the City could benefit from the proposal in terms of acquiring a por- tion of the property at a far more reason- able price than anticipated. Councilman Leary felt that it would be pre- mature to send this to the Planning Com- mission without council making a decision on the reservoir expansion. Also, when would negotiations on the property take place. Attorney Rautenstraus advised after the annexation has been referred to the Planning Commission, then the Planning Commission public hearing would be held; an agreement prepared, which is not finalized until the a short time before the second reading of the ordinance by council. Suggested that Administrator Wurl set a date for a study session near the middle of March on this subject. Inquired what the status was of the grant application for state funds on Harper Lake. Wurl advised the Water Conservation Fund had been deleted to supplement the State's revenues. There may be another option for a grant from the Water and Power Authority for funding.
