Dennis Drumm, Associated
Land Consultants - Representing
Gary Krantz

Councilman Leary

Councilwoman Morris

Refer to Planning Commission

Councilman Cussen

Table the Request

ouncilman Cummings

3/1/83

Page -8-

Mr. Drumm advised that the property had
been on the market for sometime. It was
his understanding that Mr. Krantz wished
to work with the City to accomplish their
goals.

Inquired what the zoning was on the property.
Director Rupp advised it was in our Planning
Area but no zoning designation had been
given.
Administrator Wurl stated that when the
City permitted the development of the lots
owned by the County, the City provided for
access to that property in terms of a
dedicated roadway on the west end of Paragon
Heights. This was his reason for being
evasive about the zoning for the acreage
at the top of the hill. Commented there
maybe the possibility of obtaining from
the developer a portion of the property
free of charge for the City. Also advised
that the zoning designation would be made
before the Planning Commission held the
public hearing; as it needs to be advertised.

Commented someone that had gone to see
some of the lots that were available was
told that somewhere in the estate, a dedi-
cation had already been made to the City
of some greenbelt area.
Mr. Drumm advised only to the extent that
the City owns that portion of the 80 acres
that now houses the reservoir.

Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Cummings
seconded that the Steinbach request for
annexation be referred to the Planning Com-
mission for review and recommendation.

Commented he too felt it was premature to
refer this matter to the Planning Commission
and favored tabling the request at this time.

Councilman Leary moved, Councilwoman Morris
seconded that the request for annexation
be tabled until the April 5th council meeting
after some of the issues of concern have
been resolved.

Commented he felt that the concerns expressed
should be dealt with by the Planning Commis-
sion, and sincerely felt council could bene-
fit from their review as they are aware of
