<br />12/15/81 <br /> <br />Page -3- <br /> <br />In conclusion Director Rupp advised staff's <br />position is that the comprehensive plan <br />has not been amended at this time, and <br />circumstances surrounding the Superior <br />Interchange should be reviewed in view <br />of the annexation. It is staff's posi- <br />tion it is premature at this time to <br />consider the annexation and zoning and <br />the staff would not recommend approval at <br />this time. <br /> <br />HIKE CUSSEN <br />COUNCILMAN ELECT <br />1877 Garfield St. <br />Louisville <br /> <br />Mayor Caranci asked if there was anyone <br />supporting the application. None <br />Anyone opposed to the application. <br /> <br />Stated he would like to share his concerns <br />with Council that he felt the annexation <br />would be in violation of the comp plan; <br />and it w'as a plan that we should abide <br />by or go through the amending procedure. <br />He felt it was premature to approve the <br />annexation before amending the plan. It <br />was more important that we maintain the <br />integrity and the credibility of the Comp <br />Plan. He was also concerned that it would <br />jeopardize negotiations with the State <br />relative to the improvement of the Superior <br />Interchange as well as the Centennial Valley <br />Mall. For these reasons he would request <br />denial at this time and reconsider the <br />annexation under the amended comp plan pro- <br />cedures. <br /> <br />RICHARD BIELLA <br />8184 Dillon Road <br /> <br />Advised Council that he was the sole owner <br />of the property and it was his opinion that <br />all members or council have had an opportun- <br />ity to review the annexation for sometime. <br />Replying to the statement of the annexation <br />jeopardizing the negotiations with the <br />Superior Interchange and Centennial Valley <br />Mall he did not know whether the annexation <br />would or would not; however they had 5-6 <br />months while he waited for his annexation. <br />He did not feel this was the point. As for <br />the Comp Plan, the porition he wished zoned <br />commercial is adjacent to Dillon Road and <br />in the a.nnexation agreeme1;lt the land near <br />Coal Creek will be open space. He also <br />dedicated an easement to Superior for the <br />sewer line. It was his opinion the commer- <br />
