City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />June 7, 2022 <br />Page 7 of 9 <br />Motion: Councilmember Brown moved to approve Ordinance No. 1831, Series 2022 with <br />the proposed second reading amendments; seconded by Councilmember Dickinson. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Maloney stated these are sensible laws to deal with senselessness. He <br />feels these are in the best interest of public health. They may not be perfect but it is a <br />start. <br />Councilmember Most stated it feels good for this community to do something positive. <br />She noted how many shootings there were in just the past few days. <br />Councilmember Leh made a friendly amendment to the second whereas clause most of <br />the ordinances to add "grave threat to public safety, public health, and public education" <br />in the language. <br />Councilmember Brown and Councilmember Dickinson accepted the amendment <br />Mayor Stolzmann closed the public hearing. <br />Vote: Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. <br />Motion: Councilmember Most moved to approved Ordinance No. 1832 with the second <br />reading amendments and the new whereas clause; seconded by Councilmember Fahey. <br />Vote: Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. <br />Motion: Mayor Pro Tern Maloney moved to approved Ordinance No. 1833 with the <br />proposed second reading amendments and new whereas language; seconded by <br />Councilmember Most. <br />Vote: Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. <br />Motion: Councilmember Leh moved to approve Ordinance No. 1834 with the proposed <br />second reading amendments and new whereas language; seconded by Councilmember <br />Dickinson. <br />Vote: Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. <br />Motion: Councilmember Dickinson moved to approved Ordinance No. 1835 with the <br />proposed second reading amendments and new whereas language; seconded by <br />Councilmember Fahey. <br />Vote: Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. <br />
