8/4/81 Page - 7 - ROBERT WALLERSTEDT MC KLINCY CO. KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI REPRESENTATIVE OF THE LES PETITE ACADEMIES Mr. Wallerstedt advised that he was in charge of the site locations in Louisville. It is the plan of their company to locate approximately 20 academies throughout Colo- rado. As for Louisville, a feasibility study has been done and determined there is a need. He had been in touch with John Lanterman, our Planner, regarding zoning, etc. The criteria they have developed requires that the location be accessible to the general public so that traffic is not excessive in residential neighborhoods. Make the location convenient on their way to work, shopping, etc. They have noted that the growth pattern indicates that a lot of people come through Louisville on their way to work, i.e. STC, Denver, Boulder, and Broomfield. At this point a firm lo- cation has not been selected. Site possi- bilities are being evaluated as to cost, gate-way locations. Councilman Cummings Inquired as to the proper procedure on industrial revenue bond requests. Referred to the Medical Center's procedure - went to the staff, Planning Commission, and then to Council. Attorney Rautenstraus advised with the Les Petite Academies - this is the initial step to see if the City is interested in the project. At a later date when the site is selected and they desire financing an ordinance will be presented to Council. Councilman Brown Inquired what the procedure tonight would accomplish. Attorney Rautenstraus replied this gives the company something to go to financial insti- tutions with stating this is a type project that maybe appropriate for the City of Louis- ville. Councilman DelPizzo Also questioned council's action without more information about the proj ect, i. e. location, how many children will be involved, what ages, etc. Mr. Wallerstedt Advised the package is standard, utilizing
