<br />SEADERS LIQUOR LICENSE <br />RENEWAL <br /> <br />STREET TREE PROGRAM <br />AWARD BID <br /> <br />RECREATION CENTER 11ASTER <br />PLAN PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Minutes - page 3 <br />October 16, 1979 <br /> <br />Attorney Joss reported that the liquor <br />license application is in order. <br />Councilman Berry moved that the Seader's <br />Liquors, liquor license renewal be approved. <br />Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Meier moved that Council award <br />the bid to Greenspot, Inc. for street trees <br />in the amount of $19,246.00. Seconded by <br />Councilman DiCarlo. <br />Councilman DelPizzo asked if the City was <br />able to find any Chinese chestnut trees. <br />Mr. Stahl stated that he was still checking. <br />After comments, Council voted in favor of <br />awarding the bid to Greenspot, Inc. <br /> <br />Mr. Dennis Strah and Mr. Keith Carney, of <br />Land Plan Design Group, presented the master <br />plan for the proposed Recreation Center. <br />Mr. Strah explained the plans for the out- <br />door facilities, parking and landscaping. <br />Mr. Strah noted that the parking facilities <br />will be available for both the recreation <br />center and the sports complex with a drop <br />off station in the front of both facilities. <br />He also noted that the earthwork will be <br />up against the sides of the building, in <br />some areas to the eaves, which will lower <br />the profile of the building. <br />The plan includes built in bleachers at <br />the sport complex, using the earthwork. <br /> <br />In regards to irrigation, Mr. Strah pointed <br />out that much of the area would be done in <br />the native grasses and closer to the building <br />and the ball fields would be grassed and <br />irrigated. <br /> <br />Keith Carney, architect, pointed out the <br />two lobby's which give access to all func- <br />tions, and which will also separate the <br />peoplE~ doing gym work and persons coming <br />in to watch a function or attend a more <br />passive function. <br />On the upper level, Mr. Carney pointed out <br />that the area will seat about 300 persons <br />and is equipped with a complete kitchen <br />for special functions requiring kitchen use. <br />He also noted the special access for hand- <br />icapped and elderly. <br />It was pointed out by Mr. Carney that the <br />building is structured to allow for solar <br />colleetors, should the City ever desire them <br />to be installed. <br />
