To <br />apply for an additional term please find applications here: www.louisvilleco.gov/boards and <br />submit complete applications to Meredyth Muth at MeredythM@LouisvilleCO.gov by November <br />10tn <br />Marshall Fire Updates Pertaining to Open Space: <br />1. The "Wildfire Hazard and Risk Assessment of Louisville Public Lands" Request for Proposals (RFP) <br />document has been published. The RFP will be announced in the newspaper on October 5th & <br />October 12th. Proposals are due to the City on October 24, 2022 and the contract is estimated to <br />be signed on November 15, 2022. <br />2. Repair to Fire Damaged Fences on Parks & Open Space Lands will begin the week of October 10. <br />The DOLA will be closed for fence repair from October 10tn to October 24tn <br />3. With the reduction in grass cover following the Marshall Fire, the prairie dog colony on Davidson <br />Mesa has rapidly expanded into areas not previously occupied. Staff is working to repair <br />damaged or burned prairie dog barricade fencing and add new fencing on other areas on the <br />property. The work is being completed with Bridge House and staff. Additional help may be <br />provided by the Adopt volunteer group. <br />4. Ember Brignull presented "Managing in the New Age of Fire" at the annual Colorado Open Space <br />Alliance (COSA) conference. The presentation was given in partnership with Boulder County Parks <br />& Open Space and the City of Boulder Open Space Mountain Parks. <br />5. Staff is coordinating with contractors to complete a second round of mowing for a perimeter <br />buffer strip on some segments of public lands adjacent to homes. <br />6. Staff has been collecting data for potential grant and funding opportunities related to wildfire <br />planning and mitigation. <br />Trails & Maintenance: <br />7. The 104tn Street Trail contract is in progress. Project construction limits are being located in the <br />field. <br />8. As directed by City Council, the "half and half trail" at the corner of Aspen Way and Bella Vista <br />Drive is being converted from half crusher fines and half concrete to full concrete surfacing the <br />first week of October. <br />11 <br />
