2. Observed EDI dates/celebrations- 2023 calendar listing which EDi related dates are going to be officially recognized. Erica will let us know once these dates are approved and we can pair with programming. 3. Ongoing EDI work- Ex: Banners on light poles recognizing idigenus peoples day, they are trying to give more recognition around the city. There is an internal EDI committee that looks at procedures and they are going to look forward to having the EDI manager. ii. EDI and LCC programming (JR) - JR notes that we need to start making consideration visually and hearing inpared to the list of performers as well as the viewers. iii. Proposed Budget for 2023-2024 programming a. Sample budget spreadsheet (JR). The budget attached is just a sample. Leah notes that there has been a significant increase in all costs over the past year and that she is proud of what we have done with what we have this past year. b. Information Item: Fall 2022 Programming i. Completed: 9/17/22 (Saturday) Motus Theater Arts Grant: "Dinner, Community Conversation, and the Constitution"- Leah asked if anyone from the LCC was there. Erica mentioned that these artists are cross disciplinary. This was a grant project 2021 from the LCC. Erica goes over a bit about the event and style of singing (church style). No guess of how many people were there. This would be gathered in the arts gran evaluation. ii. Completed: 9/23/22 (Friday) Opera Colorado: "Arias & Ensembles". Leah and JR were there and 37 audience members were there. LCC had already paid them in 2020 since they had to bump their performance to this year. Leah says that the event was amazing and that we should continue to keep them in mind for future events and collaborations. iii. Completed: 9/25/22 (Sunday) Boulder Opera Arts Grant "Puss in Boots/Gato con Botas" No LCC members at the event. They were the recipients of a LCC grant. Great costumes Erica notes. We have not received an arts grant evaluation from them yet but they are still within the timeline. iv.Completed: 10/14/22 (Friday) "Beverly of Graustark" Silent Film + Piano (Trina)-Erica was the only one that was there. This was all improvised. Very charming film. Audience was all ages and laughing and hissing at the villain. Some audiences showed up in period attire. Leah thinks that maybe we do a survey to the LCC from the performer to evaluate us as the LCC. v. 11/14/22 (Monday) "Indigenous History, Climate Change, and Climate Solutions" (Keely). The museum will host this in the library. The library is also hosting this artist at another time (Nov 1). So there will be two performances. vi.12/14/22 (Wednesday) "Cultural Mixtape " Taiko Drums + MC (Grace, Sarah volunteering, Mark) The date for this was initially on a Friday. But it changed to Dec 14th. This should be an interesting event to end the year. Tickets are available through
