RTD CONT'D CONTINENTAL VIEW ESTATES BILL SUITTS Minutes - page 3 August 10, 1976 Mr. Adams stated that as in any business you have someone take over for you when you are ill or whatever. Councilman DiCarlo asked who would be responsible if the system was transporting employees to work and the vehicle broke down. Mr. Hershey stated that the system is liable in case of accident, but that would not be covered on employees loss of time. Percy Conarroe stated that he felt RTD should supply some type of depot for the people who are waiting to catch a ride. Mr. Conarroe stated that as a citizen and taxpayer, he would not be happy with any type of RTD system different than what is going on in the other communities. Mr. Adams stated that he would check on the possibility of a depot. He also stated that he did not feel a fixed route would be of any benefit to Louisville and that the paratransit system would be better for the start. After discussion Mr. Adams stated that he would check on the matters in question and get back to Council. Mr. Suitts stated to Council that the reason he did not have his development underway was because of a 400 foot land dedication for the continuation of McCaslin Blvd. which the County could not decide upon. After meeting with the County and City staff, Mr. Suitts stated that the County finally decided to withdraw the proposed dedication; therefore, Mr. Suitts has just received the okay to continue. He requested that Council approve a one year extension on their agreement to provide water and sewer service to his development with the stipu- lation that when it is possible the area will be annexed to the City. Mr. Wurl stated that it was the staff and planning commissions recommendation that the extension be approved. Councilman DiCarlo moved that the City grant Mr. Suitts a one year extension on the com- mittment that Council previously gave him on utility service. Seconded by Councilman Domenico.
