MAYOR WASCHAK:
MR. WILLIAM CANTRELL:

Bill Cantrell you had your hand up, will
you please come forward at this time?
Mr. Mayor, Council people, staff - I am
not only here to represent Mr. Domenico,
because I think that some of the things that
have been spoken there for himself, and I'm
here to represent myself - William Cantre1
and my wife Eleanor Cantre1, who couldn't be
here tonight - she was busy baby-sitting.
But here feelings are in this also and much
of what I am going to say I asked here be-
fore I left home. In the phone pattern as
you were asked for, I don't know whether we
have called to complain about this particular
complaint. But I did know that we had sig-
ned a petition. Now this petition hasn't
been brought to light yet in this meeting,
and I don't know if it will be. There are
several others in the Community who also
signed it. I'm going to speak mostly from
my own feelings. I am about two blocks and
50 feet more away from the factory. We also
feel these blasts - noise vibrations - it
rattles the dishes in the cupboards. Eleanor
has also made up some time on the time-sheet
here. This time which I have will be a per-
centage of times, because she is not home all
thru the day. She helps at school. No I
can't say that it has actually put cracks into
my house. Now as far as the railroad and the
train vibrating my property - it has before,
but there was a very good reason for that.
The town had a water break at one time, eith-
er very close or underneath the tracks, and
when the ground got soggy that is when my
house started rattling from the train. Or-
dinarily we don't have much of a problem,
because I have 10" floor joists which I be-
lieve are well supported under there, and I
have a pretty good basement also. I think
my house is very well constructed. Under
sound vibration - we hear the sound vibra-
tion to go along with the vibrating of the
glass. I had some others to talk about, but
in your conversation I will call these in
and we will talk about these other industrial
problems later.

- 13 -
