TENNIS COURTS CONTID SCHOOL LAND LEASE NO. OF GRIFFITH ST. BETWEEN LINCOLN & JEFFERSON CENTENNIAL - BICENTENNIAL GRANT VEHICLE USE REPORT TAKE HOME VEHICLES CORRESPONDENCE SWIMMING POOL HOURS after a rain storm and felt that they could try to make some adjustments now to help improve the problem. Councilman DiCarlo stated that the plans should have been revised to include the landscaping and walkways when they were brought to Council instead of bringing the issue up after the plans were approved and courts constructed. Councilman McDonald asked that Mr. Helart be asked to plan for landscaping and walk- ways in the 1977 budget plan. Mr. Wurl stated that he would talk with Mr. Helart again on the matter. Mr. Wurl reported that the Parks Dept. has applied for a grant to construct two baseball fields in the land which the school leased to the City, however, if the grant is not approved then the land will not be utilized at this time. He stated that the lease was for approx- imately 33 years at a small fee. Council asked what happens if the City puts in the baseball fields and the land is then taken over by the school, will the City be reimbursed. Mr. Wurl stated that the City will be reimbursed for the money they put into the area. Mr. Wurl informed Council that the City Centennial Committee will receive a $1,000 grant from the State Committee if thes tateis.awardecl: more Igrant. money. Mr. Wurl reviewed the vehicle use report which was requested by Council. He stated that the one vehicle that may not impair the City work situation if not taken home would be the building inspector. He felt all other vehicles warranted the driving home. Councilman DiCarlo requested that Mr. Wurl report back to Council with the usuage of Chief Mungers car for emergencies from home in 1975. Mr. Wurl reviewd correspondence for Council. Councilman Caranci asked that a schedule of swimming pool hours be supplied to Council before the pool opens. -5-
