OF GRIFFITH ST. <br />BETWEEN LINCOLN & JEFFERSON <br /> <br />CENTENNIAL - BICENTENNIAL <br />GRANT <br /> <br />VEHICLE USE REPORT <br />TAKE HOME VEHICLES <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE <br /> <br />SWIMMING POOL HOURS <br /> <br />after a rain storm and felt that they <br />could try to make some adjustments now <br />to help improve the problem. <br />Councilman DiCarlo stated that the plans <br />should have been revised to include the <br />landscaping and walkways when they were <br />brought to Council instead of bringing <br />the issue up after the plans were approved <br />and courts constructed. <br />Councilman McDonald asked that Mr. Helart <br />be asked to plan for landscaping and walk- <br />ways in the 1977 budget plan. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that he would talk with <br />Mr. Helart again on the matter. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reported that the Parks Dept. <br />has applied for a grant to construct two <br />baseball fields in the land which the <br />school leased to the City, however, if <br />the grant is not approved then the land <br />will not be utilized at this time. <br />He stated that the lease was for approx- <br />imately 33 years at a small fee. <br />Council asked what happens if the City <br />puts in the baseball fields and the land <br />is then taken over by the school, will <br />the City be reimbursed. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the City will be <br />reimbursed for the money they put into <br />the area. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl informed Council that the City <br />Centennial Committee will receive a <br />$1,000 grant from the State Committee if <br />thes tateis.awardecl: more Igrant. money. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reviewed the vehicle use report <br />which was requested by Council. <br />He stated that the one vehicle that may not <br />impair the City work situation if not <br />taken home would be the building inspector. <br />He felt all other vehicles warranted the <br />driving home. <br />Councilman DiCarlo requested that Mr. Wurl <br />report back to Council with the usuage of <br />Chief Mungers car for emergencies from <br />home in 1975. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reviewd correspondence for <br />Council. <br /> <br />Councilman Caranci asked that a schedule of <br />swimming pool hours be supplied to <br />Council before the pool opens. <br /> <br />-5- <br />
