OFFICER MORRIS MEMO CONTID SCHOOL LAND - LEASE AGREEMENT CITY PARKING LOTS TENNIS COURTS - PIRATES PARK He stated that the matter should be handled by the Police Chief and City Administrator and to please advise the Police Department of this. Councilman DelPizzo asked if the City had leased the school property. Mr. Wurl stated that the matter had been brought to Council earlier. He stated that he was not sure as for how long the lease was, but would check and report to Council. Councilman DelPizzo stated that at the last meeting he stated that he could not see why there was so much landscaping at the City parking lots; but after seeing a film presentation, he now felt the landscaping was a nice addition to the project. Councilman DiCarlo asked why the City crew should be responsible for the cleaning of the tennis courts during the school year for school meets. Mr. Wurl stated that the City crew has been cleaning the courts and striping them every year. He stated that the crew did the work when the demand was there. Councilman DelPizzo stated that the dirt from the sides of the courts is always blowing on the courts which makes if difficult to use. Mr. Wurl stated that there is a plan to plant around the courts, but he did not know when. Councilman DelPizzo also stated that when it rains the mud around the courts is bad. Mr. Wurl stated that he would check and see if there was something that could be put there to walk on to keep the trans- porting of mud onto the courts down. With no more comments Councilman DiCarlo moved that the Council comments and com- mittee reports be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. Motion carried. -11-
