LETTER cont'd <br /> <br />LIOUOR LICENSE cont'd <br />BRmm <br /> <br />FLATIRONS PAVING <br />FINAL PAYMENT <br /> <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY REOUEST <br /> <br />relating to the Grant and we nm\7 have <br />obtained an agreement stating that H.U.D. <br />'('I7ill terminate the loan and also stating <br />that the City has no responsibility for <br />renayment. <br /> <br />Attorney Colby was presen~ to represent <br />Robert and Lou Brown. He presented a <br />petition that was circulat~d in favor of <br />the building of a new Liquor Store. It <br />contained 480 signatures. Mr. Colby <br />nresented witnesses as follows: <br />1. Francis Kulkin Petition Circulator. <br />2. Robert Brown Partner of establishment <br />Hanager of establishment <br />Barbara McDonald spoke in favor of a new <br />Liquor License being approved. Randall <br />Reinholdt, owner of A & B Liquor stated <br />that he was against the issuing of a new <br />license in the City. After discussion <br />Councilman DiCarlo moved that the Liquor <br />License be approved. Seconded by Council- <br />woman Scholl. Roll call. Domenico yes, <br />Berry yes, Scholl yes, Dhieux yes, DelPizzo <br />no, DiCarlo yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico made a motion that <br />final nayment be made to Flatirons. <br />Second~d' by Councilman Berry .~F:bll call. <br />Domenico yes, Berry yes, Scholl-yes, <br />Dhieux yes, DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo yes. <br />Notion carried. <br /> <br />The action requested was the approval of <br />an increase in the budget from $5,266.00 <br />to $11,796.00. The Finance Committee re- <br />viewed the request and on the basis of the <br />City Attorney's opinion they submit to <br />Council a recommendation that the request <br />be denied. Bill Gans was present to re- <br />nresent Housing Authority.c Mr. Gans asked <br />if it would be pussible to have a work <br />session. Councilwoman Dhieux stated that <br />before she would agree to a work session <br />she wanted to know if Housing Authority <br />was going to ask for money in the excess <br />of $5,000.00. Mr.. Gans stated that they <br />were. l1rs. Dhieux stated that the Council <br />can not approve the money request legally, <br />and that the City would have to go to the <br />state and request the increase which would <br />J2robably come about by taxation.
