REGULAR HEETING

LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL

DECEHBER 4, 1973

Councilman King inquired if we had a position -
Cemetery Superintendent. Administrator Wurl advised
the Public Works Director would take care of it.
Councilman King also added that perhaps flush
markers should be used henceforth, making main-
tenance easier, as a stipulation for any new land
acquired or new sections opened.
Attorney Norris advised this provision was made
in the Rule and Regulations which would be an addi-
tion to the Ordinance presented.
Question called for on motion. All in favor.
Notion carried. Public hearing to be held January
15, 1974.

ORDINANCE #437
WATER NETERS

Attorney Norris explained that two ways had been
discussed in preparing the Ordinance - the one pre-
sented to Council and the other to include direct
decendants such as spouse, children and grandchildren
regarding transfer of property.
Ordinance was then read in entirety by Attorney
Morris, and the following added under 3 (b) Transfer:
"Except where such interest is conveyed or trans-
ferred to a spouse or children or other direct
lineal decendents."
Cowncilman King moved that Ordinance #437 be pub-
lished with the additional wording in Section 3(b).
Seconded by Councilman Deborski.
Councilwoman Scholl asked if the amount of the
water meter would be charged to the person purchas-
ing the property without their knowledge and re-
questing them to pay for it within 30 days.
Attorney Norris suggested that all realtors
in the area be made aware by sending out notices
should this Ordinance pass.
Barbara NcDonald - present in the audience - inquired
if it was absolutely necessary for the owners to
have only 30 days to pay for the installation of the
water meter.
A discussion was held and suggestions made that
perhaps the water meter could be installed in 30
days, but payment would not have to be made for 90
days. The amount of the installation of the meter
could be added to the water bill and payed in monthly
installments.
Coumcilman King then amended the motion to read
payment of installation of the water meter within
90 days after closing of the sale. Seconded by
Councilman Deborski. Roll call vote - Deborski
yes, King yes, Jensen no, Scholl yes, Domenico no.
Motion carried.

Page - 5 -
