Motion carried. <br /> <br />ADVISORY BOARD: Mayor requested a letter be sent from the Planning Commission <br />advising Council of the DUI8S of the Board members. <br /> <br />PARKS & RECREATION: Mayor Carsnci read report presented by Parks &1tecreation. <br />Bond election was set with City Clerk for November 21, 1972. A discussion <br />followed relative to thel cons ot the bond issue as set forth. Majority ot <br />members favored pool, bu.t questioned development of Hilgers and Miners Park, <br />as well as the added rel'llponsibility ot the City to provide $32,000.00 in the budget <br />for the maintanence of t,he pool and parks. King stated other departments J <br />such as water, streets, police, fire, and planning would have to take a cut- <br />back to &llocate the neEldecl funds for P & R. There was also a conterversy <br />as to the location of the pool. Financing the bond would have to be a mill <br />levy _ Mayor pointed out, lE~tter had already been sent to the County Commissioners <br />on October 13, 1972 tha1i the mill levy would remain the same. Checked with <br />Paul _ money could be obta:lned in 1973 did not have to pay it back until 1974 <br />or 1975 - could be worked lout with bonding company. Time element involved - <br />DlUst have 30 days betor~~ election. Mayor asked for a straw vote; yes we go, <br />no we talk with P & R (,iiho were meeting in the adjoining room.). Deborsld.- <br />talk, King talk, Jensen-talk, Donovan - yes we go, Maxwell-talk, Domenico- <br />talk. The discussion was postponed until business at hand was completed. <br /> <br />SIGNATURE: <br />City Clerk to send letter to DRCOG regarding signature on letter ot intent <br />to apply tor Government Gl'ant presented by Parks & Rec. Under our torm of <br />City gO'VerBllent City A<tnil1listrator is not authorized to sign - mayor and <br />council only. <br /> <br />LIQUOR APPLICATION: <br />Liquor application for Lw"gi1s Inc. preSEnted tor approval. 50-50 part- <br />nership between LuciarlCl Colabello and Anthony Martella. Paul Morris advised <br />new license must be purch~lsed tor the rest of the year - after correction re- <br />.garding previous licenne. Motion by JensEn, seconded by King that application <br />be accepted. Motion cllrrled. <br /> <br />DRCOO Jensen presented 11 b040klets from DRCOG, stating the titles of each - given <br />to the City Clerk to be k,ep on tile for interested parties.
