Sisk thanked Hartronft and Max Barber for the changes they have made to the building. He <br />expressed his support for this project. <br />Lathrop agreed with Hartronft that the cabinet sign on the front of the building could remain. <br />Howard agreed with Lathrop. <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, suggested that modifying the sign on the front of the building to <br />contain external, goose neck lighting would be preferable to a sign containing cut -out letters as there <br />are no other buildings downtown with that type of sign. <br />Hartronft replied that the type of sign selected depends upon the corporate signage guidelines for <br />franchises. <br />Mayer agreed with Simmons and stated that it is difficult to approve a sign sight unseen. <br />Howard suggested authorizing the City Administrator to approve the signage based upon Council <br />comments. <br />Howard moved that Council approve Resolution No. 62, Series 1998 Amendment to a Final PUD <br />Development Plan for 732 Main Street (the Melting Pot Restaurant) with the provision that.the Main <br />Street signage be under administrative approval with the City Administrator able to bring the signage <br />back to Council, if necessary, seconded by Mayer. <br />Roll call was taken. Motion passed by a 7 -0 vote. <br />RESOLUTION No. 63, SERIES 1998 FINAL PUD DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR •LOT 1, <br />BLOCK 2, THE PARK AT CTC, CG PRESS <br />Davidson called for staff presentation. <br />Sisk asked to be excused from the discussions. <br />Davidson excused Sisk. <br />Keany stated that he is employed by a printing company and offered to be excused from the <br />discussion if the applicant would prefer that he do so. <br />Representatives for CG Press replied they did not wish for Keany to be excused. <br />Paul Wood, Planning Director, stated this is the first site specific development plan for the Park at <br />the Colorado Tech Center (CTC). The application is for a printing company that includes office, <br />manufacturing, and distribution uses within a 31,378 sf, single -story building. The lot is on the <br />
