The Louisville Police Department apprehended the perpetrator responsible for the Igraffiti along Pine Street. They received leads on others responsible for !Jraffiti on Pine Street and in other parts of the City. REGULAR BUSINESS RECOGNITION OF CAL MARSELLA City Manager Fleming reportBd on his working relationship with Cal Marsella who served as the General Mana~ler of the Regional Transportation District (RTD) from 1995 to 2009. He noted Cal has exhibited amazing leadership, is nationally known as a transportation expert and is articulate on transportation issues. He expressed Council and Staff's appreciation for his excellent service to the region and the community. Deputy City Manager Balser thanked Cal for all his service. She stated he was a great regional leader and was instrumental in FasTracks development and applauded his expertise and influence. She stated it was a pleasure to work with him and noted the state will miss him. Mayor Sisk reported Cal and Sheri Marsella moved to the City in 1995 when he became RTD General Manager. Cal became the driving force behind RTD and metro municipalities looked to Cal for his leadership in transportation issues. Cal's service was to the StatB of Colorado, and he was dedicated to the City of Louisville. He stated Cal's le!gacy will be FasTracks and his transportation vision for Colorado and the UnitHd States. He noted Cal Marsella's presence in the states' transportation industry will be missed. Cal Marsella thanked Council for their recognition. He has moved on to the private sector but his entire career was public transportation. He addressed FasTracks, which is currently laboring under drastically reduced revenue and radically increased costs. He stressed it would be tragic not to pursue the project because the vision remains as viable today as it was then. The FasTracks investment will impact the future by shaping development, housing patterns and retail and support for visions for the future. He stated the best decision he and Sheri made was to make Louisville their home and emphasized Louisville is an extraordinary community and has been recognized for the quality of life.
