Square Investment Corporation, owner of the parcel of land within the proposed annexation stated that he was not in opposition, but requested information regarding the pro- posed annexation. He also stated that the corporation had not taken a position onthe proposed annexation request. Mr. Foster, representing the applicants stated that the reason they have petitioned for annexation was it is easier and more bene- ficial to deal with the City then County, also tap fees are less and that the areas are now being serviced by the City. Mr. Wurl added that at least 4 of the annexors are now supplied City water. After discussion Mayor Waschak closed the public hearing and Attorney Joss read Re- RESOLUTION #23 solution #23, Series 1978. Councilman Caranci moved that Resolution #23 Series 1978 be adopted. Seconded by Coun- cilman DiCarlo. Roll call. DelPizzo yes, Kilker yes, Caranci yes, Meier yes and DiCarlo yes. Motion carried. ORDINANCE #600 All members of Council had before them a copy FOSTER ETAL of Ordinance #600 for their review and file. ANNEXATION Attorney Joss read the Ordinance on first reading by title only. Councilman Caranci moved that Ordinance #600 be ordered published and a public hearing set for August 15, 1978. Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. Motion carried. ORDINANCE #601 All members of Council had before them a copy FOSTER ETAL of Ordinance #600 for their review and file. ANNEXATION Attorney Joss read the Ordinance on first reading by title only. Councilman Meier moved that Ordinance 001 be ordered published and a pulblic hearing be set for August 15, 1978. Se- conded by Councilman Caranci. Motion carried.
