TABLED Councilman Fauson moved, Councilwoman Morris <br /> seconded that Louisville Associates .- Waste <br /> Water Plant Agreement, and Western Empire <br /> Construction Co - Notice of Award - Wastewater <br /> Plant be tabled. <br /> Councilman Cummings Inquired if a cost-analysis was actually done <br /> on this project , and requested Council be pro- <br /> vided a copy of this <br /> Question called for. All in favor. Motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> C/uncilman Leary Inquired how this improvement of the waste- <br /> water plant . and the relationship to it if <br /> any, what it might mean in terms of new stream <br /> standards. Wished to discuss this issue before <br /> the contract is signed. <br /> LDC - SMALL CITIES GRANT Mayor and Councilmembers had a copy of the <br /> APPLICATION application. <br /> Mr. Mark Adams , General Manager for the LDC <br /> briefly went over the background information <br /> of LDC. The 502 plan provides for partici- <br /> pation by local development corporations in <br /> financing new projects with the purpose of <br /> assisting local economy and adding to employment. <br /> The LDC participates in 207. and one of the <br /> local banks would pick up the 807 investment <br /> in a business redevelopment or new business. <br /> The participation by the local bank is guaranteed <br /> by the Small Business Association up to 90Z. <br /> As working capital the LDC had been granted <br /> $25 ,000, which was received from the City thru <br /> the agreement with Jacobs/Kahan .as seed money. <br /> Additionally Jacobs/Kahan pledged $50,000 to <br /> the City with conditions.
