Don Shallock did <br /> speak with Chief Building Inspector Ferris re: <br /> the access. <br /> Director Rupp read from the LDS Agreement <br /> "Owner agrees to take all reasonable steps <br /> and to pursue with the City and the ajoining <br /> property owners located to the west, the <br /> possibility of joint access from South <br /> Boulder Road to this property and the property <br /> to the west. If joint access is not achieved, <br /> access from OWNER'S property off of South <br /> Boulder Road shall be restricted to a right <br /> turn into the property and a right turn <br /> from the property as according to standards <br /> of the CITY. " <br /> It was Rupp 's understanding that the verbal <br /> arrangement from Public Service Co. regard- <br /> ing the access may not be acceptable to the <br /> LDS Church in Salt lake City. <br /> Director Rupp inquired if they would wish <br /> the developers to cone and address the <br /> council on this issue <br /> Rupp spoke with the Wilding Inspector and <br /> informed him that the Council has stated <br /> that unless the access issue was solved, <br /> there would be no Certificate of Occupany <br /> issued. The Building Dept . is aware of that <br /> posture. <br /> Councilwoman Morris Commented that perhaps it would be advisable <br /> to have the developers to come before Council <br /> as it was her understanding that all reason- <br /> able efforts would be made for the joint access <br /> between Neodata and the LDS Church per the <br /> Agreement .and since the Public Service Co. <br /> who was the key to the access has verbally <br /> agreed to the arrangement felt that the <br /> developers be present to explain the stalemate. <br /> Rupp stated the problem seems to lie with the <br /> written statement from Public Serice Co. and <br /> perhaps this could be resolved by next council <br /> meeting. <br /> Councilwom4AL `!orris remarked that perhaps <br /> the conditions that Public Service Co. is <br /> placing on the access is a factor. But re- <br /> called that the LDS Church did not favor <br /> the shared parking when they were present <br /> at the council meeting; however if it was <br /> a requirement of the City they would abide <br /> by this. <br /> Mayor Meier Remarked he felt this was a condition of the <br /> agreement but was not stated a Certificate of <br /> • <br />
