• <br /> 411 411 <br /> • <br /> 6/18/84 Page -2- <br /> accommodate anyone scheduled for Court. <br /> GENERAL COUNCIL ITEMS <br /> COUNCILMAN ELECT HERMAN FAUSON City Clerk Mudrock swore in Herman Fauson <br /> SWEARING IN AND SIGNING OF OATH as Councilman in Ward III and congratulated <br /> him. He then signed the Oath of Office; <br /> was seated at the Council table by Mayor <br /> Maier and congratulated by him. <br /> Councilman Elect Herman Fauson Commented he would hope that he would not <br /> disappoint the rest of the Councilmembers <br /> but the average age of the Council had in- <br /> creased by 10 years by his sitting there. <br /> BLACK DIAMOND - CHANGE TO CORP. Councilmembers had copies of all the in- <br /> AND LIQUOR LICENSE RENEWAL formation relating to the Corporate change <br /> and liquor license renewal, as well as an <br /> incident report from the Police Department. <br /> Councilman Cussen Stated in being consistent as Council has <br /> reviewed other liquor license renewals <br /> pertinent to incident reports, he was glad <br /> to see that the proprietor, waitress, or <br /> bar tender had called the police. How- <br /> ever he noted that there were 2-3 incidents <br /> where the owner was given a verbal warning <br /> for improper reporting of the incident. <br /> Councilman Cussen requested that a letter <br /> be written to the owner of the Black Dia- <br /> mond Saloon expressing Council's concern <br /> of incidents or problems not properly re- <br /> paorted to the Police. <br /> APPROVAL Councilwoman Morris moved, Councilman Cussen <br /> seconded that the Black Diamond Corporation <br /> change and liquor license renewal be approved. <br /> All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> DENISE SKEELS - LOUISVILLE Councilmembers had a copy of a memo from <br /> SLIDE SHOW Ann Trementozzi, Head Librarian relative <br /> to the slide show. <br /> Denise Skeels, Westlake Ms. Skeels stated this last fall she be- <br /> Junior High, Thornton gan developing and researching a project <br /> Yesterday's competition. The theme of this <br /> competition was Family Community. Although <br /> she lived in large cities throughout her <br /> life, her first sign-of Louisville' s strong <br /> sense of community came through her grand- <br /> parents, Jack and Dorothy Messinger, who <br />
