•
Jorgensen: The steeper area that you're
referring to in particular is lots 1
9. Once this is overlottad, west
willow Street, there would be a
level platform cf approximately 40
ft., which would be the same
elevation as West Willow Street.
From that point there would be a 4
to I slope, which vou.'.d catch at or
before the property lino to the open
space. From an erosion control
standpoint, immediately after this ..
is ovsrlotted, the top soil that was F
stripped from this site would be
placed on these slopes and w old be
seeded as+4 sulQbeG. In addition,
along the boundary of the property
there would either lee erosion
control bales or silt fences. There
would also be a oval• along that
with silt fences, which would carry
the runoff to the existing detention
facilities.
Lathrop: Would the silt fences be necessary
five (5) years from now or is that
going to be a maintenance problem?
Jorgensen: The silt fences are primarily put in
place until vegetation is
established on the slope. The silt
fence will be most affective
immediately, if us get a storm. prior
to when the seeding begins to grow
on the slope. The silt fences are
not important within five (5) years
after,
Lathrop: If you're going to re -seed that
slope after overlotting, what about
the area up on the top going north?
Is that going to be re- seeded?
Jorgensen: All of the area that wouldn't be
developed within the first phase
we're planning on seeding, which are
the requirements of the State
Department of Health with their new
storm water management control
plans. Any disturbed areas that we
aren't going to be putting houses on
immediately will be seeded and
21
