..',
NORTHWEST PARKWAY: INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENTS AND DATE FOR
PUBLIC HEARING
Brand: In talking with Councilman Davidson this
afternoon, he had asked if an analysis could
be done to show how much land would be
necessary to be dedicated with the Northwest
Parkway as compared to the old W-470
alignment. Also after the December 19, 1990
meeting in Louisville among Louisville,
Broomfield and Boulder County, we have
received drafts of the Intergovernmental
Agreements discussed in that meeting. The County believes that the
Glacier Park area would enhance the open
space buffer between Broomfield and
Louisville. The additional ground is to
provide a parkway. The 160 + 8240 is a
direct buffer.
Howard: Is there any talk about this parkway ever
becoming a highway?
Franklin: I haven't heard that.
Mayor Fauson: Was there anything mentioned about who would
maintain the parkway?
Hornbostel: There are already portions of it that are
state highway and those portions would be the
state's to maintain. Those portions that
were in the cities would be maintained by the
cities or MTDC commission. I will ask the
-
8
