..,.
has agreed not to annex certain land and will
allow Lafayette to annex it. This council
has not even discussed that with Lafayette.
We would be happy to discuss this with
Lafayette but there is certainly not time to
do it within this IGA. I think this section
needs to be looked at again.
Howard: There are a lot of places that it talks about
the purchase of land here and there, but it
doesn't make it clear who purchases the land
and I for one do not want the City of
Louisville stuck with the bill. This point
needs to be clarified on who will pay for all
of the land and such.
I would like it clarified if in the SID STC
is the only interested party and the how the
funding will make this interchange work. I
would like to have something to tell me that
Louisville needs to be, in fact, involved in
this because STC along with the other par-
ties.
Davidson: If you did this SID and you included this
wider area that Broomfield would like to
include, then basically the parkway would be
built with funds from the tax that the state
is going to come up with and then we could be
paying additional money. If we are going to
have to pay additional money, then there
should be additional benefits.
DISCUSSION/DIRECTION - AUTHORIZE STAFF TO GO TO BID ON PHASE II
IMPROVEMENTS TO LAKE PARK
Baysinger: The City of Louisville's 1991 budget
identifies $100,000 in capital funds for
improvements to Lake Park. Improvements to
Lake Park appear in the 5 year Capital
Improvement budget. In 1990 $50,000 was
allocated and spent from the Lake Park
budget. Funding the Parks Planner position
accounted for nearly half of the money spent
from the Lake Park funds. Staff has
conducted neighborhood meetings to plan and
prioritize improvements to Lake Park. Any
improvements to the site need to be preceded
by correction of drainage concerns to the
west of the park. Currently Urban Drainage
is in the process of addressing drainage
concerns through the construction of drop
structures west of the park. Urban Drainage
has budgeted $55,000 to complete the drainage
concerns.
9
